The Young Farmers & Ag Professionals Discussion Meet contest is designed to simulate a committee meeting, where discussion among peers leads to problem solving and an exchange of ideas on some of the most pressing issues facing agriculture today. Indiana Farm Bureau members between ages 18-35 are invited to come together to learn, network and share ideas, as well as compete for prizes.
This year, regional meets will be held in September at four different locations, with four regional finalists from each location advancing to the “Sweet 16” at the State Convention in French Lick, Dec 13-14. **Register for your preferred session below. **
Members of the INFB Collegiate Farm Bureau chapters at Purdue University, Vincennes University, Huntington University and Ancilla College are also invited to compete for a chance to advance to the Collegiate Discussion Meet Finals in November.
The Young Farmers & Ag Professionals state winner will receive:
• $4,000 cash prize from Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance.
• All-expenses paid trip to AFBF Annual Convention in Austin, Texas, January 17-22, 2020.
• Three runners-up receive a $1,000 cash prize from Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance.
Collegiate state winner will receive:
• $1000 scholarship.
• All-expenses paid trip to AFBF Young Farmers & Ranchers Conference in Louisville Mar 13-16.
